Food and Drink

The actual dining experience at The Old Rydon is dependent on season and is heavily influenced by the foods Charlie and Amy have enjoyed over the years themselves. Their extensive travels have allowed them to sample some of the most interesting and tasty foods in the world, all providing inspiration for the dishes presented at the restaurant. All meat and vegetables are locally sourced from carefully selected suppliers including fresh herbs and vegetables handpicked from 'mums' garden in the summertime.

The Old Rydon Sunday Roast has a family style service with generous portions that will fill the heartiest of eaters! This Sunday favourite has become quite famous locally boasting a selection of 3 meats and 8 veg! (Meat includes Aberdeen Angus beef, Creedy Carver Farm Chicken and Lamb or Pork Belly from local sources and Padstow Farm Foods). The wonderful 'real stock' gravy is prepared onsite using a traditional method and takes 2 days make.

Regular wine tastings and valuable local ale knowledge from the regular patrons mean that there are always new and interesting additions to the wine list and pumps.
